What is a Thyroid-stimulating Test?

The thyroid-stimulating hormone is produced by the pituitary glands. This hormone regulates the thyroid hormone secretion. A Thyroid-stimulating Hormone Test helps to measure the amount of TSH in the blood.

What is the significance of the deviations from the normal range?

Higher values indicate:

12 hours fasting or as directed by a physician. Medication history is needed.
