HIV1 and HIV 2 antibodies are absent: Absence of HIV infection

Positive HIV1 and negative HIV2 antibody: Presence of HIV-1 infection

Positive HIV-1 and indeterminate HIV-2 antibody: Presence of HIV-1 infection

Indeterminate HIV-1 and negative HIV-2 antibody: Early HIV-1 infection

Negative HIV-1 and indeterminate HIV-2 antibody: Early HIV-2 infection

HIV1 and HIV 2 antibodies are present: Presence of HIV co-infection

Indeterminate HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibody: Early HIV infection

Negative HIV-1 and positive HIV-2 antibody: Presence of HIV-2 infection

Indeterminate HIV-1 and positive HIV-2 antibody: Presence of HIV-2 infection
